Meet Garden Revelry

Garden Revelry is rooted in Seattle and built around one idea: that beautiful containers begin with good decisions, not guesswork.

Through online courses, speaking, coaching, and a growing library of resources, we help homeowners and industry professionals create container gardens that feel personal, practical, and genuinely theirs.

What drives all of it is simple — we love what happens when someone realizes their outdoor space can be more beautiful, more livable, and more entirely themselves than they thought possible.

Cindy Funes

The founder and owner of Garden Revelry, Cindy has been designing, installing, and maintaining container gardens in the Pacific Northwest since 2008. A trained certified horticulturalist and award-winning container designer, Cindy is known for creating lush, harmonious plantings that feel as beautiful as they are livable - compositions that bring beauty, function, and a sense of intention to outdoor spaces. She has a gift for helping people see what’s possible, then guiding them with warmth and expertise to create container gardens that truly reflect the way they live.

‍At the heart of Cindy’s work is a love of both people and plants. Through speaking, online courses, coaching and client work, she helps homeowners and industry professionals grow their skills and confidence in container gardening. Her teaching style is approachable, encouraging, and rooted in real horticultural know-how — shaped by years of hands-on work and her involvement with professional horticulture education. Cindy's work has been featured in publications including MarthaStewart.com, Wirecutter, greenPROFIT, and The Seattle Times.

Garden Revelry’s beloved four-legged sidekick, Tucker is the loyal companion, unofficial nursery and shop dog, and heart stealer of Garden Revelry.

Living in Seattle alongside Cindy, he’s an everyday part of the behind-the-scenes rhythm - keeping watch, offering companionship, inspiring breaks, and serving as a good reminder not to take anything too seriously. Equal parts loyal friend and garden-adjacent professional, Tucker, with his penchant for stealing garden gloves and mixing up plant tags, helps keep things grounded, playful, and very real at Garden Revelry.

We help people look at containers with a more discerning eye. Beyond pretty plants and good color, we teach what makes a planting truly work—scale, balance, rhythm, purpose, placement, and seasonal timing. It’s about learning to see the why behind the beauty.
